Preference is given to former Market participants, but acceptance is not guaranteed. Vendors will receive positive notification of their acceptance to the 2012 season as early as possible.
Produce and Plant Vendors :
The focus of the Hingham Farmers Market is on FOOD so we would love to hear from you.
Processed Food Vendors :
We have some vendors who process food into delicious items like pesto, jams, bread, granola, etc... These items are controlled by federal, state and local regulations and require permitting by our local authorities. (DOH). Click to download Hingham DOH Information for Food Vendors.
Non-Food or Plant (NFP) Vendors :
The number of available spots for NFP vendors is limited by an agreement with the Town of Hingham and the Trustees of the Hingham Bathing Beach.
While the focus of the HFM is on food, the presence of high quality non-food products made by local craftspeople adds an important component to the HFM. All new vendors' products are evaluated by the HFM Jury (non-vendor members of the Board of Directors) for appropriatness and acceptability. Once approved, vendors will be scheduled for market days according to available space. There are two categories of NFP vendors, seasonal and rotating. For 2012, the only available category is rotating.
To apply, please submit, preferably via email, several digital images of your product along with an explanation of where your components come from as well as your process of creation. Your pictures will then be forwarded to the members of the HFM Jury for review.
