LESLIE ALEXANDER, MD
Leslie Alexander, MD, a community board member from Scituate, MA, is wholeheartedly a supporter of fresh foods and finds a way to feed her active 3 children and husband by shopping at the vendors each Saturday. A farmers market aficionado, she attends other farmers markets as well and is integrated in the natural food market. She brings her joy as well as her reasoning as a physician to Hingham Farmers Market.

PAULA COFMAN
Paula Cofman, a vendor board member, and her business partner Rafca Cardoos co-founded To Dine For (TDF) in 2009 and are celebrating their 17th season at the HFM this May. They specialize in authentic Mediterranean cuisine using family recipes. Paula, as a successful local business owner with a storefront at 520 Nantasket Ave, in Hull, brings her wisdom and highlights the strong partnership between local businesses and the HFM. You can often see Rafka and Paula’s daughters, Miriam and Gigi, working at the TDF tent on Saturdays.

ALYSON CONNORS
Alyson Connors is a community board member who moved to Hingham in 2019. She and her family were drawn to the HFM by its high-quality products and strong sense of community. As an avid home cook and the daughter of a chef, Alyson appreciates the dedication vendors pour into their products. As an active CPA with expertise in process improvement and project management, Alyson is eager to bring her skills to the HFM Board to ensure efficient operations.

RORY EARLEY
Rory Earley, a Hingham resident with deep South Shore roots, is a dedicated community volunteer and proud mom of two. Passionate about supporting older residents, she serves as a board member for the Council on Aging and works with the Facebook page, Hingham Link to implement assistance and support where needed. In her professional life, Rory is a postpartum and end-of-life doula, offering compassionate support during life's major transitions.

LINDA FECHTER
Linda Fechter is a community board member and vendor representative for Hale Bone Broth, which she has helped grow since 2017. Linda is a Health Coach, former PR consultant, and writer for the Cohasset Mariner Newspaper. She also handled PR and event management for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and has served on the BAA Boston Marathon Organizing committee for 29 years. Linda grew up on Long Island but considers Southern Vermont her second home. Her skills as a writer is what is observed on the social media presence of HFM.

ELIZABETH FRARY
Elizabeth Frary is a vendor member, and a fourth generation Massachusetts farmer. She owns and operates Copicut Farms with her husband Vince. Copicut Farms is a diversified livestock farm located in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. They specialize in pasture-raising animals which means that the rotational grazing of grass and legumes comprises a significant portion of their animals’ diets. She has been a vendor at the Hingham Farmers Market for 10 years and she has been a member of the BOD for over 5 years.

NICK GARGANO
Nick Gargano, a community board member from Bridgewater, MA, is a CPA with eight years of experience in accounting and consulting, most recently in the biotech space. He holds advanced degrees from Bridgewater State University and is passionate about building professional relationships and delivering value in a collaborative environment. Nick is a proud father of two young children and actively supports his wife’s thriving sourdough bread business, Kneady Mama, pitching in with operations and enjoying the fresh loaves as the "ultimate taste tester".

KATE GETZ
Kate Getz is a vendor board member who co-founded Aeonian Farm in 2020 with her partner, Andrew Ashbrook, and started with the HFM that same year. After college at George Washington University and then working at the Middle East Institute, she volunteered on farms in France, Kenya, Croatia, and Bulgaria, falling in love with farming. Kate and Andrew intensively grow produce on about 1 acre in Westport, using natural growing practices with a wonderfully supportive crew.

KATHLEEN LAWLOR
Kathleen Lawlor is community board member who views the HFM as an essential, vibrant part of the community. Passionate about cooking and baking, she appreciates the market's local, seasonal, and artisanal product options. Having returned to her hometown of Hingham in 1997 after a long career in finance and investments, Kathleen is focused on volunteering, including over 15 years with the Hingham Food Pantry and at the Longwood Cricket Club. She is an avid tennis and paddle player.

KATE POPE SMITH
Kate Pope Smith, a Scituate native and mom of twin college hockey players who are soon to be graduates of Hingham HIgh School. A community board member, she became involved in the market through her marketing expertise, writing the weekly newsletter for seven years. She continues to provide advice for board management and communications.

JULIA POWERS
Julia Powers is a licensed nutritionist, lived in Hingham for thirty years before recently relocating to Cohasset. A firm believer that nutritious food—grown and raised with integrity—is a cornerstone of good health, she has been a longtime customer and dedicated supporter of the Hingham Farmers Market. She serves as a community board member.

MARGE SCHILLER
Marge Schiller, Ph.D is a founding member of Hingham Farmers Market. When the HFM was reduced to only 4 vendors in 2006, Marge hosted a meeting of about 15 people who wanted to save and grow the market. Mark Cullings volunteered to be the first President of HFM, concentrating on operational issues. Marge was the first vice president focusing on connecting HFM to patrons, vendors and the community. She has lived in Hingham for over 50 years and has led an organizational consulting company specializing in strength based strategies. HFM is lucky to have her experience and dedication on the board.

BEVERLEY VERNON
Beverley Vernon, a Hingham resident and community board member, has been a passionate volunteer with the HFM for 15 years, starting when her neighbor, former President Mark Cullings, asked her to create a parade float. A retired Hingham teacher and strong organizer, Bev is dedicated to seeing local, home-produced businesses succeed, and she deeply appreciates the HFM's family of vendors and volunteers. She currently serves as President of the board.

MIKE ANDERSON
Mike Anderson is a Vendor Board Member newly added in 2025. He has lived in South Weymouth for the last 21 years. Mike and his wife Jessica started Farmhouse Baking Co in 2019 specifically to sell French Macarons. Over the years this has expanded to many other Bakery items and prepared meals culminating in their brick and mortar store just over the Higham line in Rockland MA. Mike also has a full time job as a Senior Project Manager for McDonald Electric Corp based in Hingham. While Jessica is mainly focused on producing all the Bakery items, Mike is all about sales. You will see him every Saturday at the Market selling that week's pastries. Jess and Mike have 5 kids between them who all have helped out at some time throughout the years. Come by and say hi, Mike is always ready to talk or quick with a sweet treat sample.

LINDA LUKE
Linda Luke recently retired as a food professional with 45 years in the specialty food industry. She served on the HFM board for 15 years, including as Vice President, before leaving in 2025. Her commitment to farmers' markets began in childhood, visiting her family's farm outside Detroit. Linda is a member of several food associations, most proudly inducted into the Guilde Internationale des Fromagers. She is also an avid musician who has sung in prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall and backed up Andrea Boccelli.

BILL MARSHALL
Bill Marshall, a Hingham resident, is a long time member of the Hingham Farmers Market community. As HFM's original market master for ___ years, he helped vendors get established and made sure they observed the safety and health rules of the market and town. He ran his own flower store for 40 years and has his own beautiful gardens with narcissus and daffodils! He welcomes visitors in the spring to his home to delight in the profusion. With his wife, he is the proud parent of Eric, a graduate of Norfolk County Agricultural High School and Charlotte, a doctoral candidate in Parks, Recreation and Tourism at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. HFM thanks them for the help with market over the last 15 years.

DERITH MEYER
Derith Meyer from Pembroke was a long time HFM craftsman and brought her skills in making pottery, jewelry and knitting with her good judgement to the HFM Board for ____ years. . Along with her husband Tom’s abstract paintings, they elevated the quality of craftsmanship expected at HFM. As a board member, she scheduled a variety of other artists and craftspeople as non-food vendors. She misses her friends from the market, and hopes to be able to return occasionally in the future!
